Weekly Photo Challenge : Unusual

Xanthorrhoea glauca, common name ‘grass tree’, is native to Australia. Often used in landscaping, it is slow growing. In fact, when we planted ours, we wondered if we would live to see it flower. 2017, and the first flower has appeared, although not yet fully ‘open’. Normally ramrod straight, it seems to be bending to follow the light. It is surely unusual!
