We visit open gardens to view the work of other garden owners. We like to see the landscaping of trees, shrubs and bushes, native and exotic. We are often “blown away” by stunning displays of vibrant coloured annuals and perennial borders ….. and yet, the eye is often drawn to other objects, statuary and fountains, often called “gardenalia”.

A New Beginning
Waiting for the train, one couldn’t help but be impressed by the rather brutal pruning of these callistemon (bottlebrush) specimens, and the new growth bursting forth.
