Saturday Morning – time for training the next generations of lifesavers. The Surf Life Saving Association is a volunteer movement around Australia to keep swimmers safe in the surf, as long as hey swim between the flags!
While the teenagers practise their surf skills, the pre teens are exercising on the sand.
For the challenge set by Patti at Lens Artists Photo Challenge and the trainees are all dressed in pink for Becky’s Squares #InthePink
Second in the random series of Tropical posts from Palm Cove, August 2018 – sub group “Swimmers”
Nice to see the sun and the beach! And it’s a very good idea for safety too 😉

Those kids were getting a great workout ?
It’s a good way to practice sport by being helpful.
I thought this was Sydney and that it was warm enough to get into the sea. Then I read ‘Palm Cove’. Ah!
The water was only 18C, but the youngsters don’t feel is as much as we do!
Looking at your photos I realized I photographed a swimming gala with lost of action, but than I wouldn’t have posted what I posted. Nice cold captures
Thank you
Looks like fun too, Ken 🙂 🙂
They were being driven quite hard but they were definitely having fun, Jo
These volunteers do a great job.
They are invaluable, Elaine, and they have a good success rate of keeping the kids.
