As there is no new challenge this week, a second trawl through the year revealed some more memorable moments.

Another contribution to the Weekly Photo Challenge

WPC : Ascend

He alights from the train; his destination, Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. Unsurprisingly, they occupy the high ground. A walk of just over a kilometre. The shortest distance appears to be through the town centre. The road, becomes a lane, but the cathedral remains in sight. The ascent gets steeper. Later he discovers that, typical British humour has applied. The last section is simply called “Steep Hill”.
