Oh, how those formulae rush back to mind!
Velocity is change of distance divided by the time elapsed, represented as
v=Δd/Δt
Acceleration is change of velocity over time, represented as
a=Δv/Δt
Delta (Δ) is not the only Greek letter used in Mathematics and Physics, but it makes its presence felt many times during our school and university years.
The express train accelerates to speeds up to 200km/hr, and then it decelerates smoothly to stop at the right point of the platform.
